Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence
Matthew Sweeney-Yoga Teacher
The Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence is a yoga sequence that I created to help balance the energy of the body and mind. The sequence is based on the phases of the moon, and each posture is designed to correspond with the energy of that particular phase.
The sequence begins with a sun salutation to help energize the body. Next, we move into the moon phase corresponding with new beginnings. This is a time of growth and expansion, so the postures in this section help to open up the body.
The sequence then moves into the waxing moon phase, which is a time of increased energy and activity. The postures in this section help to build strength and vitality.
We then move into the full moon phase, which is a time of peak energy and power. The postures in this section help to channel and focus that energy.
Finally, we move into the waning moon phase, which is a time of release and relaxation. The postures in this section help to calm and soothe the body and mind.
The Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence is a great way to balance the energy of the body and mind, and it can be tailored to fit your own individual needs. I hope you enjoy it!
