Harvest Moon Yoga Sequence
The Harvest Moon Yoga sequence is designed to help you connect with the natural rhythms of the season and the energy of the moon. The sequence includes poses that are both energizing and grounding, and it can be tailored to fit your own needs and preferences.
The sequence begins with a sun salutation to align your body with the energy of the sun. This is followed by a series of energizing poses that open the heart and lungs and stimulate the immune system. Next comes a sequence of grounding poses that calm the mind and body. The sequence concludes with a relaxation pose to allow you to integrate the energy of the moon and the season.
The Harvest Moon Yoga sequence can be practiced on any day of the month, but it is most beneficial during the time of the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the full moon that occurs closest to the autumnal equinox, and it is associated with the energy of harvest and transformation. This is a time when the energy of the earth is at its peak, and it is a perfect time to connect with the natural rhythms of the season.
Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence
Matthew Sweeney-Yoga Teacher
The Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence is a yoga sequence that I created to help balance the energy of the body and mind. The sequence is based on the phases of the moon, and each posture is designed to correspond with the energy of that particular phase.
The sequence begins with a sun salutation to help energize the body. Next, we move into the moon phase corresponding with new beginnings. This is a time of growth and expansion, so the postures in this section help to open up the body.
The sequence then moves into the waxing moon phase, which is a time of increased energy and activity. The postures in this section help to build strength and vitality.
We then move into the full moon phase, which is a time of peak energy and power. The postures in this section help to channel and focus that energy.
Finally, we move into the waning moon phase, which is a time of release and relaxation. The postures in this section help to calm and soothe the body and mind.
The Chandra Krama-The Moon Sequence is a great way to balance the energy of the body and mind, and it can be tailored to fit your own individual needs. I hope you enjoy it!
