So, what is yoga?
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word “yuj”, which means to unite or integrate.
Yoga is a holistic practice that aims to unite the body, mind and spirit. Through various poses, breathing exercises and meditation, yoga helps to improve flexibility, strength, balance and concentration.
The benefits of yoga are vast and include improved mental and physical health, increased flexibility and strength, and a sense of peace and well-being.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. Leggings, yoga pants and a T-shirt are perfect.

Yoga For Overweight Male Beginners
If you are overweight and looking to start practicing yoga, you may be wondering where to start. The first thing you need to know is that there is no “one size fits all” approach to yoga, and what works for one person may not work for another. That being said, there are a few basic guidelines that can help you get started.
The first thing you need to do is find a yoga class that is appropriate for your level of experience and fitness. If you are a beginner, look for a class that is beginner-friendly. If you are not very fit, look for a class that is gentle and slow-paced.
When choosing a yoga class, also consider your body type and weight. Some yoga poses are not suitable for overweight beginners. Poses that involve deep stretching or balancing on one leg, for example, can be difficult and dangerous for someone who is overweight.
If you are not sure which poses are safe for you, ask your yoga instructor for advice. He or she can help you choose poses that are appropriate for your level of experience and fitness.
Once you have found a yoga class that is suitable for you, be sure to arrive early so you can chat with the instructor and get a sense of what the class will be like. This is also a good time to ask any questions you may have about yoga.
The most important thing to remember when starting yoga is to go at your own pace. Don’t try to do too much too soon. With time and practice, you will become more flexible and stronger, and you will be able to do more challenging poses.
Beginner Mother Daughter Yoga Poses

This pose is a great way to start your practice, as it helps to lengthen the spine and open up the chest. Start in a tabletop position, with your hands directly below your shoulders and your knees directly below your hips. Then, tuck your toes and lift your hips up and back, bending your elbows and pressing your heels towards the floor. Hold for five deep breaths.
This pose is also great for spinal flexibility and mobility. Start on your hands and knees in a tabletop position, with your shoulders directly over your wrists and your hips over your knees. Inhale as you arch your spine up and look up, and exhale as you round your spine and tuck your chin. Continue moving back and forth between these two positions for five breaths each.
This pose is a great way to build strength and stamina, and it also opens up the hips and chest. Start in a standing position, with your feet hip-width apart. Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot in slightly. Bend your right knee and reach your right arm up towards the sky. Hold for five deep breaths, then switch sides.
This is a basic standing pose that helps to build strength and balance. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your arms at your sides. Engage your abs and glutes, and lift your chest. Hold for five deep breaths.
