Downward Dog

To do the downward dog, start on all fours with your hands directly below your shoulders and your knees directly below your hips.

Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths.

The warrior 2 pose stretches the hip flexors and quads.

Extend your arms out to the sides and bend your right knee, bringing your thigh parallel to the floor.

Extend your left arm up toward the ceiling.

Hold the pose for 5-10 breaths, then switch sides.

You can increase the stretch in the pose by using a block.

Place a block between your front thigh and calf. This will deepen the stretch in your hip flexors and quads.
