The Vazhga Valamudan Yoga Centres in Coimbatore were founded in 2018 by two experienced and dedicated yogis, Mrs.Ponsie Pushpa Rathinaraj and Mr.Arun Kausikamurthy Baskaran.

Mrs.Ponsie Pushpa Rathinaraj was born and raised in Tirunelveli,Tamil Nadu, where she completed both her SASTRA University’s degree in mathematics as well as a Diploma in Yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwanthary Ashram. Shortly after her diploma, she instantly moved to Delhi in order to train directly with Guru Swami Satyananda-ji on traditional yoga techniques such as Raja and Hatha yoga which lead her decision to open a yoga studio back south of India, Coimbatore which has now become the Vazhga Valamudan Yoga Centers.

Mr. Arun Kausikamurthy Baskaran hails from Chennai but he too has his routes within spiritual practices as he is an authority on Laughter & Yogic meditation who holds a certificate from America’s well-known School of Tantra, home to Master Charles Muir whom Arun had also trained under at various points through his life span. After completing two postgraduate degrees; Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Finance from Coimbatore Matha College & Tharamani Annaivel Murugappa Polytechnic College respectively he brought the highest form of understanding about Ayurveda based practice that made him understand its importance immensely for the people around us and took his skill sets to popularize by way of opening up this grand Vazhga Valamudan Yoga Centre .
