Pregnancy Stretches On Yoga Ball
Pregnancy is a time of change for your body – you’re growing a baby after all! As your belly expands, you may find that your regular yoga poses are no longer comfortable. A yoga ball can provide support and comfort during your pregnancy, and stretching on the ball can help keep you limber and flexible.
Before you get started, be sure to talk to your doctor about which stretches are safe for you during pregnancy. Here are a few stretches to try on your yoga ball:
The Cat-Cow Stretch: Start on all fours, with your yoga ball under your stomach. Inhale as you arch your back and look up, and exhale as you round your back and tuck your chin.
The Triangle Pose: Stand with your feet 3-4 feet apart, and turn your left foot in at a 45-degree angle. Extend your right arm straight out to the side, and reach your left arm towards the ceiling.
The Seated Forward Bend: Sit on the yoga ball with your legs straight out in front of you. Bend forward at the waist, and reach for your toes. If you can’t reach your toes, reach for your shins or thighs.
The Child’s Pose: Kneel on the floor with the yoga ball in front of you. Sit back on your heels, and extend your arms forward. Rest your forehead on the ball.
The Supine Spinal Twist: Lie on your back with the yoga ball at your feet. Bring your knees into your chest, and twist your body to the right. Place your left hand on the floor behind you, and extend your right arm out to the side.
The Bridge: Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor and the yoga ball at your feet. Push your feet and the ball into the air, and lift your hips off the floor. Hold for a few seconds, and then lower your hips back to the floor.
The Corpse Pose: Lie on your back with the yoga ball at your feet. Relax your entire body, and close your eyes.
These are just a few of the many stretches you can do on your yoga ball during pregnancy. Be sure to listen to your body, and stop if you feel any pain or discomfort. Yoga balls can be a great way to support your growing bump, and help you stay flexible and limber during pregnancy.

Hamstring Stretch Yoga
There are a few different hamstring stretches you can do in yoga. The first is a basic seated hamstring stretch. Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Bend your right knee and place your right foot against your left inner thigh. Reach for your right foot with your left hand. Hold for five breaths, then switch legs.
The second hamstring stretch is a lying hamstring stretch. Lie on your back with your legs straight out. Bend your right knee and place your right foot against your left inner thigh. Reach for your right foot with your left hand. Hold for five breaths, then switch legs.
The third hamstring stretch is a standing hamstring stretch. Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Bend your right knee and place your right foot against your left inner thigh. Reach for your right foot with your left hand. Hold for five breaths, then switch legs.
