Kids Yoga Fall Sequence
The leaves are changing color, the air is getting crisper, and the kids are back in school. It must be fall! As the days get shorter and the weather cooler, it’s the perfect time to do a kids yoga sequence to help get your little ones in the fall spirit.
This sequence is designed to help kids release any energy they may have built up over the summer, and to help them get ready for the colder months ahead. The sequence is also a great way to help kids calm down and relax before bedtime.
The sequence consists of five poses:
1. Mountain pose
2. Downward-facing dog
3. Cat-cow pose
4. Child’s pose
5. Corpse pose
Mountain pose is a great way to start the sequence. It helps kids focus and connect with their breath.
Downward-facing dog is a great pose for releasing energy. It also helps stretch the hamstrings and calves.
Cat-cow pose is a great way to warm up the spine. It helps to release tension in the neck and back.
Child’s pose is a calming pose that helps kids relax and restore energy.
Corpse pose is a great way to end the sequence. It helps kids relax and restore energy.
Half Splits Yoga Sequence
Half splits yoga sequence is a great way to open up the hips and hamstrings. This sequence is also great for warming up before a more vigorous practice.
Beginning in Downward Dog, step your right foot forward between your hands, and sink your left knee to the ground. Keep your right foot flexed and your left heel pressing into the ground. You can stay here for a few breaths, or if you want a deeper stretch, you can fold over your right leg. For an even deeper stretch, you can fold your torso toward your left thigh.
