The answer to all those questions, of course, is YES. Yoga pants are amazing. They’re comfortable, flattering, and perfect for just about any activity or situation.

But there is one question that we get asked all the time: do yoga jeans stretch out?

The answer, once again, is YES. Yoga jeans will stretch out over time, especially if you wear them often. The good news, though, is that they’ll still look great – they’ll just be a bit more relaxed.

Routine

Hamstring Yoga Stretch

If you are unable to reach your foot, you can use a strap or a towel to help you.

This stretch can also be done standing. Start by standing with your feet hip-width apart. Bend one knee and lift your foot up towards your buttock. Reach around your back with your opposite hand and grab your foot. Gently pull your foot towards your buttock until you feel a stretch in the back of your thigh. Hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then switch legs and repeat.

Nighttime Stretches Yoga

Yoga Stretches For Beginners

If you’re just starting out with yoga, it’s important to learn the basic stretches. These beginner’s yoga stretches will help loosen your muscles and prepare you for more advanced poses.

Cat-Cow Stretch: This stretch targets your back, neck and abs. Start on all fours, with your hands directly below your shoulders and your knees hip-width apart. Inhale as you drop your belly toward the floor and look up at the sky. Exhale as you round your spine and tuck your chin, looking at your navel. Continue moving between these two positions, inhaling and exhaling smoothly.

Downward Dog: This pose stretches your hamstrings, calves, hips and back. Start in plank position, with your hands directly below your shoulders. Step your feet back, coming into Downward Dog. Keep your hips high and your spine straight. Hold for 5-10 breaths.

Warrior I: This pose stretches your thighs, calves and hips. Start in Downward Dog. Step your right foot forward between your hands, and lunge forward. Keep your left leg straight, and your chest open. Hold for 5-10 breaths, then switch sides.

Child’s Pose: This pose is a resting pose that stretches your hips, thighs and ankles. Start on all fours, then fold forward, coming into Child’s Pose. Extend your arms in front of you, or rest them on your thighs. Hold for 5-10 breaths.
