There’s no need to be tense when it’s time to wind down. This bedtime yoga sequence will help you relax and drift off to sleep.
1. Start in shavasana (corpse pose)
2. Inhale and bring your knees into your chest
3. Exhale and lower your knees to the right, keeping your left shoulder on the ground
4. Inhale and bring your knees back to the center
5. Exhale and lower your knees to the left, keeping your right shoulder on the ground
6. Repeat steps 3-5 two more times
7. Inhale and bring both knees into your chest
8. Exhale and hug your knees to your chest
9. Rock side to side for a few breaths
10. Lie still in shavasana for a few minutes

1. Start in a comfortable seated position with your spine straight. Take a few deep breaths in and out, and let your mind quiet down.
2. Inhale and reach your arms up overhead, then exhale and fold forward, keeping your spine straight. Hold this position for a few breaths, then release and come back to a seated position.
