Sequences are an important part of Baptiste Yoga. They are designed to help you move through poses with greater ease and to help you experience the full potential of each pose.

There are many sequences to choose from, and you can create your own sequences as well. In this section, you will find a few sequences to get you started.

Letting Go Yoga Sequence

There are many times in our lives when we must let go of something in order to make progress. This yoga sequence is designed to help you let go of what is no longer serving you, so you can move forward with your life.

1. Begin in mountain pose.

2. Inhale and raise your arms overhead.

3. Exhale and fold forward, releasing your hands to the ground.

4. inhale and lift your torso back to standing.

5. Exhale and step or jump back to plank pose.

6. Lower to the ground and release your left hand, then your right.

7. Bring your knees to your chest and rest for a moment.

8. Inhale and press up to Cobra pose.

9. Exhale and release to Downward-Facing Dog.

10. Inhale and step or jump forward to plank pose.

11. Lower to the ground and release your left hand, then your right.

12. Bring your knees to your chest and rest for a moment.

13. Inhale and press up to Cobra pose.

14. Exhale and release to Downward-Facing Dog.



15. Step or jump forward to standing.

16. Arms overhead, inhale and raise your chest to the sky.

17. Exhale and release your arms to your sides.

18. Relax and breathe deeply for a few moments.

When you practice this sequence, remember that it is ok to let go. You are not defined by the things you hold on to, but by the things you let go of. Release what is no longer serving you, and move forward with your life.

The wood element is associated with the season of spring, the direction of east, and the liver organ system. The energy of the wood element is expansive, creative, and optimistic. The following yoga sequence is designed to help you connect with the qualities of the wood element and to support the health of the liver organ system.

The sequence begins with a few gentle warm-up poses to get the body moving and the blood flowing. Next, we move into a sequence of poses that focus on stretching and strengthening the muscles of the back and spine.
